ST PATRICK’S DAY
We have scheduled a party for St. Patrick’s Day on Tuesday, March 16th. As we did last year, the club will purchase the corned beef, potatoes, cabbage and carrots. We will need members to help cook the corned beef and vegetables in crock pots. So far we have two who have volunteered but we could use a couple more. If you have a crock pot and would be interested in helping out, please call Mary Ellen at 845 876 2664. Also contact Mary Ellen to make reservations and members are welcome to bring an hors d’oeuvre or dessert to the party. If you do want to bring something advise Mary Ellen what you intend to bring when you make reservations. It would be nice to get some new people involved in club activities, party planning and preparation. If you can VOLUNTEER to help keep the club alive. Again, please let us know if you will be attending or are willing to help. Think GREEN!!!!

FIRE/RESCUE
BREAKFAST
This month the Rescue Squad will have its breakfast on the 21ST at the Town Hall between 8 and 11 AM. The weather is getting better so there should not be any reason for our members not to come out and support the people that do so much to assist us in our time of need. Come out and have a good Breakfast and meet some of your neighbors and friends. Hope to see you all on the 21st.
THE SUNSHINE BOYS
Our next trip is scheduled for Wednesday, May 5, 2010 to see “Sunshine Boys” at the Hunterdon Hills Playhouse. The cost is $ 55 per member and $ 60 for non-member which includes the bus, show and full course meal. (Any shopping is on your own). “The Sunshine Boys were two of the funniest people ever to hit the stage ... until their acrimonious breakup. A TV special on “The History of Comedy” offers them the chance to come out of retirement, and the obstacles they put in each other’s path during rehearsal offers vaudevillian comedy at its very best.” Reservation and money to be in by April 2nd. Mail to Pat Christensen at 15 Eagle Lane, Clinton Corners, NY 12514 or give it to her at one of our meetings. Get your reservations in early to reserve a seat.
CLUB ELECTIONS
Club elections were held at our February business meeting. The following were elected for a term of two years: Pat Christensen – President, Dorothy Russell - Vice Pres., Ursula Plock – Secretary, Michael Herlihy – Treasurer, Frank Christensen - Liaison
We congratulate the elected officers and wish them luck in the coming years. Our next election for officers will be held the first Tuesday in February 2012. Please start thinking now about running for office. Thank you Mary Ellen for your past role as president.
VALENTINE’S DAY
Our scheduled Valentine’s Day celebration for February 16th was cancelled. All three school districts were closed due to the weather which under our by-laws means that we did not have a meeting. We will not be rescheduling the party because we are having a St Patrick’s day party this month.
SICK LEAVE
We have a “Sunshine” committee which is headed by Mary Ellen. If you have any information on members who are ill please advise Mary Ellen at 845 876 2664.
